Tok Bak Campsite

Kg Orang Asli Chinggung, Behrang Ulu, Tanjong Malim, Perak, Malaysia

Naf Roose

Called Tok Bak to check if there was a lot still available for the next day and lucky enough there was! It was a beautiful site. We brought our dogs with us and luckily the available lot was the last plot along the river so we didn’t disturb the other campers with our dogs too much. The place also had a little path which led to a nice pool. The camping lots came with a water shower and pipe! There’s also two public toilets and a public shower! This is possibly the best campsite I’ve ever been to! However, just a little warning. There are lots of bush flies during the day, so please ensure that u bring sufficient repellants to keep them at bay - especially around food. Other than that, this place is still an absolute gem and Tok Bak has been an amazing host! Will definitely come back! Thank you for having us, Tok!

My first camping experience and it turned out to be super awesome! The toilets were surprisingly clean! The camping areas also were clean. There were electricity sources provided until midnight, sinks for dishwashing purpose, ropes to hang your clothes, surau, etc. A really recommended place especially for newbies who prefer less hardcore camping style 👍🏻

We stayed here as we cycled up Malaysia and found this place on google maps. We communicated with the owner on WhatsApp and decided to stay. As cyclists, we didn’t realize it was so off road to arrive at the campground! However, it was a beautiful and clean camping spot and we are glad we stayed! We even got to spend some time in the morning with other campers and the owner for breakfast. Would for sure recommend this spot to anyone. And if you are a cyclist, it is worth the trek!

My 2nd time camping experience with my colleagues. The surrounding areas truly relaxing, refreshing with lush greenery & soothing sound of the streams. Some areas had relatively wide flat grounds with enough shades . The streams in front of the camp setting area were mostly shallow & quite safe for older children but there were at least 3 spots were dangerously deep..around 12ft. These spots mostly a bit farther, had warning sign post & suitable for fishing. The facilities provided was average. They had multiple toilets. There's a cafe or shop which opened at night . They provided very limited electricity plug point..one plug point station for the whole area. Thus, campers needed to take turn to charge up their electrical gadgets. You can only had electricity at night started around 7PM..Better bring along your powerbank & portable power supplies. Be mindful.. even though two types of road provided (normal & off road) toward the campsite..but still rather challenging for city vehicles especially after leaving the Orang Asli residential areas were you will then drove mostly one way, narrow, and muddy roads ahead. Even muddier after rain. Lowered vehicles advised not to enter here. 4x4 vehicles had no trouble traversed there. Please contact Tok Bak's staff first for the correct directions. The pinned location in Google Map leads to nowhere.
