This campsite deserves 5 stars, it is semi-wild but safe even for first time camper like myself, bathroom is very clean and no odour, grass floor is firm, nature view and sound surrounding, do bring mosquitoes repellent, my proton saga can access the site on dry road, the entire campsite is perfectly clean and with daily upkeep. Camping pad is flat leveled, good for sleeping. Night is cold. I had best time here.

About Taihon Basecamp

Close to Nature; Tahon Basecamp is a back-to-basic campground that offers a semi-wild camping experience.  

Situated further upstream of Sg. Tanglir, it’s a campground with a cooling environment surrounded by mountains and greens, with easy river access and yet basic amenities like clean toilets and security (fenced ) are offered.

Welcome to our campsite! Before you embark on your outdoor adventure, we want to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Please read and adhere to the following guidelines and disclaimers:
1. Assumption of Risk : Camping involves inherent risks, including but not limited to wildlife encounters, weather changes, uneven terrain, and more. By using this campsite, you assume all responsibility for your safety.
2. Campfire Safety : Fires are only allowed in designated fire pits. Follow local fire regulations and never leave fires unattended. Use provided firewood and do not gather wood from the surrounding area.
3. Wildlife Awareness : Be aware of local wildlife. Do not approach or feed wild animals. Store food securely to prevent attracting them to your campsite.
4. Leave No Trace : Help preserve the natural beauty of this area by packing out all trash and waste. Leave the campsite cleaner than you found it.
5. Quiet Hours : Respect the peace and quiet of fellow campers. Quiet hours are from 10:30pm to 9:30 am. Please keep noise to a minimum during this time.
6. Alcohol and Drugs : If you choose to consume alcohol, do so responsibly and in accordance with local laws. The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
7. Pets : If pets are allowed, keep them on a leash at all times. Clean up after your pet and ensure they do not disturb other campers. Taihon campground will not assume any responsibility of your pet safety; includes missing pet
8.  Weather Conditions : Stay informed about weather conditions in the area and be prepared for changes. High winds, rain, and storms can occur unexpectedly. Beware of River safety, water condition can change in very short time, Taihon Basecamp will not assume any responsibility if you wish to access the river for any activity. 
9. Emergency Contact : In case of emergency, call 09-2330222 - Balai Polis Bukit Tinggi, Bentong, Pahang. Provide your campsite location and a description of the situation.
10. Health and First Aid : Bring a basic first aid kit and any necessary medications. Know the nearest medical facility and emergency services contact information.
11. Check-Out Time**: Check-out time is 1:00pm. Please vacate your campsite promptly to allow for cleaning and maintenance.
12. Campsite Condition : Report any damage or issues with your campsite to campsite staff immediately.

Our experience here was superb due to the following reasons: ✅ clean toilet ✅ nice and tranquil atmosphere ✅ campsite is close to the river ✅ the river is clean and cool ✅ campsite and facilities are well maintained ✅ some trees near our site with limited shade ✅ big fish pond with lots of fishes but not for fishing ✅ no traffic noise ✅ weak mobile signal but still usable ✅ Power generator works at night with enough lighting around ✅ pet friendly ✅ there is a gate at the entrance but I am not sure if they lock it at night. ✅ RM120 per slot during weekends and PH but only RM60 during weekdays. There are also some challenges: ⚠️do expect some off-road driving but most of the cars can handle it. ⚠️there is no hot water supply so you’ve to take bath before night time. ⚠️you need to walk a bit and carry your gears from the car park to your site, maybe around 100m? You can use their big trolley if you do not have one. ⚠️I did not see any power plugs but I usually don’t use that so it doesn’t matter to me. ⚠️the water supply comes directly from the river so it is not crystal clear. Better use your own filtered water or cook it before drinking.
