Sunrise View Village Stay Kampung Sapit

Bung Siju, Kampung Sapit Padawan, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

This has been an amazing experience for my family and I. We are grateful towards the friendly uncle/owner that was enthusiastic and knowledgeable at the same time. He is fluent in English and would converse with us under the peaceful star lit sky. Dinner was great, we had chicken soup, homemade bamboo tea and pandan leaf rice, handpicked village seasonal vegetables that tasted incredible and fruits to keep you refreshed. The view was breathtaking , picturesque and relaxing. Being a singaporean we don't get these type of views anywhere. The hike up was a 10 min trail, did in slides so it is fine. Overall an extraordinary experience, I would like to recommend anyone over the age of 10 that are healthy to climb up stairs.👍💪🔥⛰️must try!

For mountain view lover. Only if you can hike 80-100metres up. Porter service on demand basis. Nice Bidayuh food in the package. I wished that I stayed another night when I woke up on the day I check out. 30mins drive to Bengoh Dam for gateway to multiple real waterfalls. I was inside cloud half of times at night. Tips: Depends on weather, Cloud sea can even be seen at night if there is some moonlight. Cloud sea can be seen at late morning and late afternoon. Lookout for dragon cloud moving out from right hand side view at day time. Host keep the place clean. I only met few mosquitoes for my stay.

Amazing views! Definitely worth a visit. - Hike to the stay are all steps and takes 20 mins. Tiring but at least it's only a short trail! - Owner is very friendly! He will also offer help to carry things on the hike - Food was delicious and they also offer free mineral water (so you don't have to bring that much water) - No power here, but got 4G line. Recommend to bring a few light source of your own for night time use. - FREEZING nights! Seriously felt like 18 degrees with the wind blowing. Recommend to bring warm clothing or will have hard time sleeping - Didn't get to see sunset. Sunrise starting at 6am, breathtaking👍 - Roads to the kampung are like roller coaster rides. Very steep at times, can't see the road in front cause it's too steep/ there's sharp corners. But at least the road is wide enough for 2 cars to pass through.

It’s quite a hike for an amateur like me, but the view up there is totally worth all the muscle pain! The host did such an amazing job ensuring us having the best experience we could have, and we did! Thank you very much!
