Saraphi Campsite And Homestay

(May 2026) Glad to finally tick this bucket-list camping destination off my list during my 13-day northbound road trip across Perlis, Kedah, and North Perak! We walked in without a booking, and is fully booked but luckily, the friendly host offered us the top terrace (Bamboo Zone A), which features a sparkling clean washroom right on-site. The mountain-sourced water here is incredibly clear. Please note that the road conditions leading up to the top terrace are rough, and it is highly preferred to use a 4x4 or AWD vehicle only. If you are coming with a big group, the chalets are highly suitable for families as they come with an attached kitchen and bathroom. The host was incredibly easygoing and hospitable, even offering to help us buy food and necessities, and checking in on us with a cool souvenir sticker. A huge bonus since it’s durian season: I managed to get Black Thorn durian right here at the campsite for half the price of what I paid back at Kaki Bukit, Gua Kelam! Weather-wise, it gets really hot from morning until late afternoon, but thanks to my power station, I survived comfortably. At night, it cools down beautifully, and the campsite provides power supply using a generator. Just a heads up for fellow campers: be mindful of sandflies and ants at the top terrace zone. Looking forward to catching the sea of clouds and the sunrise tomorrow morning. Definitely a scenic destination I’ll return to for the views and the durians!

Great camping experience, and the place is simply amazing. If you would like to have a campfire, the owner offers a firewood service. You can ask the owner (Nick) to prepare it during booking. Make sure to bring your own fire pit. The morning sea of clouds was amazing.

Absolutely loved our stay at Seraphi Homestay Camp in Jeniang, Kedah! Shu Ning — the main contact person — is insanely nice. Like, next-level friendly and genuinely helpful. Her husband, Nick (the CO), was just as kind. Such good energy from both of them. The campsite itself? So clean. The toilets and showers? Also spotless. We did car camping & RTT (RM50/lot) and booked 3 lots at Level 2. The owner wasn’t kidding — the view up there is beautiful. One thing we absolutely loved: the campsite uses mountain spring water. So yes, the water is cold, but the pressure is amazing — which actually makes washing dishes super easy and zero stress. The CO even prepares dish detergent and sponges for campers. Small detail, but super thoughtful. There’s also a small café at the campsite. If you want breakfast, you can pre-order Nasi Lemak or Roti Canai. Super convenient. Just a heads-up: the road going up is a little challenging, but manageable. We drove a Land Rover Discovery, so it was smooth for us. Also, don’t rely fully on Google Maps/Waze because you might lose connection in certain spots. Make sure to follow the arrival directions the campsite will send you — those instructions are the key to getting in without stress. Overall, this is a campsite we’ll definitely return to. Highly, highly recommended!

My absolute favorite campsite – best value for money! This is hands down my favorite camping spot with the best value. Waking up surrounded by majestic mountains and catching the very first rays of sunrise is an absolutely breathtaking experience. The campsite offers wide-open views and fresh mountain air. On clear nights, you’ll be treated to a stunning starry sky. What surprised me most was the host's warm hospitality and the toilets, which are not only spotless but also very stylishly designed. The nights here are cool and breezy—no mosquitoes at all! It’s the perfect place to quiet your mind, enjoy the mountain breeze, and just zone out. Pro-tip: From May to November, the daytime weather is more pleasantly cool. If you happen to visit after a rainy day, you might even witness a spectacular sea of clouds at sunrise! I love this camp site so much!!

An exceptional retreat to truly immerse in nature—authentic in every sense. The scenery is breathtaking, with sweeping views of mountains, open skies, serene sunrises, and lush greenery, all complemented by crisp, clean air and starlit nights. The owner is remarkably attentive and responsive. The property is well-maintained, with clean and aesthetically pleasing spaces, including spotless facilities. Certainly a place worth returning to, time and again🫶🏻
