About Santai Dusun Campsite

A little closer to nature. A little further from the rush.

Tucked away within a peaceful village orchard near the small town of Pengkalan Hulu, Perak, Santai Dusun Campsite is a semi-wild nature campsite shaped by the simple beauty of dusun life, riverside landscapes and warm kampung hospitality.

Located approximately 5 km from Pengkalan Hulu town, Santai Dusun offers a slower kind of outdoor escape. Here, mornings begin beneath the shade of orchard trees, afternoons are spent by the river, and evenings settle into the sounds of flowing water, rustling leaves and the surrounding forest.

One of the most distinctive features of Santai Dusun is its natural riverside setting. Clear flowing water winds past striking ancient rock formations, creating a landscape that feels peaceful, raw and remarkably removed from everyday life. It is a place to swim, explore, sit quietly by the water or simply do nothing for a while. The campsite has been developed gradually around the existing landscape rather than replacing it. Today, Santai Dusun offers 18 camping lots, 2 camping decks and a dedicated rooftop tent (RTT) zone, supported by essential facilities including toilets, bathrooms, sinks, a prayer space, electricity and communal campfire areas.

But Santai Dusun is more than a place we operate. It is part of our family story.

We grew up in this very orchard. The trees, river and surrounding landscape have been part of our lives long before Santai Dusun became a campsite. Today, our family continues to manage it personally, sharing not only the land, but also a little of the slower rhythm, simplicity and hospitality of kampung life with those who visit. Santai Dusun is not a luxury resort, nor do we try to make nature feel like one. It is an authentic nature camping experience. Mud after the rain, insects, falling leaves, cool night air, river sounds and the changing moods of the natural environment are all part of being here.

What we provide is a comfortable way to experience something increasingly rare: time spent close to nature, away from the noise and pace of everyday life. Whether you come for a quiet riverside escape, a weekend with family and friends, or simply some time to slow down and recharge, we welcome you to experience Santai Dusun in your own way. By making a booking and entering the campsite area, guests are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all campsite rules, safety guidelines, and policies stated below.

🏕️ CAMPSITE RULES
• Santai Dusun is a peaceful semi-wild nature campsite concept, specially designed for relaxation, healing & nature experience.

🌙 Silent Hour
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Please maintain a calm and peaceful environment.
• Music is allowed only at low volume.
• Karaoke and excessive noise are strictly prohibited.

🔌 Plug Point Usage
• Plug points are provided for light electrical equipment only.
• Usage of air conditioners, heaters, high-power cooking or cooling appliances is strictly prohibited at campsite lots.

🔥 Campfire & Open Fire
• Campfire is allowed at campsite lots only when using proper campfire equipment or fire pit.
• Direct fire on the ground is strictly prohibited.
• Fire must always be supervised while in use.
• Please ensure all fire is fully extinguished before sleeping or leaving the campsite area.

🚗 Parking
• Vehicles must be parked only at designated parking areas.
• Vehicles are NOT allowed to enter campsite lots.

👥 Visitor Policy
• Maximum 4 visitors per campsite lot.
• Visiting duration is limited to 1 hour only.
• Additional charges may apply if these conditions are exceeded or violated.

🌿 Respect Nature & Cleanliness
• Please help maintain campsite cleanliness and preserve the natural environment.
• Campers are encouraged to practice “Leave No Trace”.
• Dispose of waste responsibly or bring back your own trash whenever possible.

⚠️ SAFETY & RESPONSIBILITIES
• The campsite is maintained regularly for camper comfort and safety. However, all guests remain responsible for their own personal safety and belongings.
• Campers must comply with all instructions and guidelines provided by campsite management.
• Any activities not organized by Santai Dusun Campsite must first receive approval from the management.

🌿 Please remember that you are staying within a natural forest, river & orchard environment. Natural risks may exist at all times.
🌧️ Camping is an outdoor nature activity. Rain, mud, insects, uneven terrain, natural sounds, falling leaves or weather changes are part of the camping experience.
• Refunds will NOT be provided due to weather conditions unless the campsite is officially closed by the management for safety reasons.
👶 Parents and guardians are fully responsible for supervising children at all times, especially near river areas and campfire zones.
• Guests are advised to always prioritize the safety of themselves, children, family members, and personal belongings.
🚫 Illegal activities, drug usage, fighting, aggressive behavior or actions disturbing other campers are strictly prohibited.
📵 Please respect the privacy of other campers when taking photos, videos or flying drones within campsite areas.
• Santai Dusun Campsite reserves the right to refuse entry or request guests to leave the campsite immediately without refund if campsite rules are violated or if behavior is considered disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate.
• Santai Dusun Campsite shall not be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during the stay.

• Campfire dibenarkan di tapak khemah hanya dengan menggunakan peralatan khas campfire yang bersesuaian.
• Tidak dibenarkan menyalakan api secara terus di atas tanah.

• Pastikan api dipadam sepenuhnya sebelum tidur atau meninggalkan kawasan campsite.

🚗 Parking
• Kenderaan mesti diletakkan di kawasan parking yang ditetapkan sahaja.
• Kenderaan tidak dibenarkan masuk ke kawasan tapak khemah.

Amazing Campsite with unique river. Clean and Cozy environment. Co is very Friendly and helpful. He always there if you need anything. Also river guide is provided. Free 'Kopi Kg'... Fire Pit is my favourite Interest. Made a good choice by Camping at the Dark Zone. Will keep repeating insyaallah. Good Job and Thank you for the best hospitality given😍

We camped here for 3D2N. Even though it's far from KL, we were excited for the river and didn't mind driving for 4 hours just to enjoy nature. The river is one of a kind because the riverbank is very unique. It's called the KROH Transformation—feel free to Google more about it. Even the campsite itself gives off serene vibes. - It's a dusun campsite, surrounded by fruit orchards. The CO lives nearby, so it’s really easy to ask for anything or get assistance. - Here, they also serve free coffee! A great kampung coffee to enjoy on a cold night. - The sites have plug points, and we booked two sites located side by side. We even had a fire pit just for ourselves. - Our site is near the entrance, which is convenient since it's close to the toilet and sink, and just a short walk from the car park. The downside is that it's far from the river, so there’s no river view. - It's a bit challenging to access the river, as the bank is quite high. You need to be careful when going down. - We really enjoyed swimming in the river, which has both deep and shallow parts. Some areas are great for water rafting. The road leading here is a light off-road, and even though there are no signboards, it's easy to find. - I love the surrounding area with big durian trees, and at night, it’s even better with yellow lights. Very peaceful. - Parking space is limited but can accommodate less than 15 cars at one time. - Electricity is provided 24 hours. - And what I love too the furry creatures (cats!) that belong to the owner. There are about 3-4 of them, and they’re all very friendly, playing around the site. There are also wild chickens that look tame but are definitely not! Overall, we had a great time. Even with the long journey, it was really worth it to come here

I had a wonderful time at Santai Dusun Campsite. The place is very clean and well-maintained, and the owner is super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The scenery around the campsite is absolutely beautiful, a perfect place to relax and unwind. One of the highlights was the river. If you’re looking for a calm & scenic campsite, I highly recommend Santai Dusun Campsite. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is the most peaceful and chill campsite that I have been. Set amongst rubber and tropical fruit trees hence it is shady and cool. The campsite itself is not large but offers a lot of privacy for campers. It is a semi-wild campsite, offering basic amenities such as clean bathrooms/toilets and lights/electricity in the main area. Great if you want to disconnect from day-to-day life and reset in nature. The river is also very unique.
