We loved staying here for 3D2N with our friends. Total of 8 adults and 11 kids and it was perfect! You can have fun in the river and sea both here. The site is so spacious. Nat and Ainon are great hosts! Definitely coming back here. Pls taste their cheese burgers too, sooo delicious!

This campsite will always be one of our favorites! We usually stay for at least 4 nights with a group of 3–4 families. The campsite is spacious, very clean, and the private beach is absolutely wonderful. It also feels very safe, with the main gate locked to keep outsiders out. Nat, Ainon, Foo, and Will are amazing hosts, so friendly, very helpful, and always making sure everything is perfect. If you don’t feel like cooking, the on-site cafe has tasty food and drinks. Nat and Ainon are also excellent cooks, so make sure to try their delicious meals! There’s also a restaurant and a small mart just less than 5 minutes away by car. Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and can’t wait for our next camping trip. 💙🤩

Stayed at Payung Gateway Campsite and honestly it was such a pleasant experience. The place is really clean and the view is beautiful since the campsite is right in front of the beach. Our tent couldn’t handle the heavy Cherating rain so the aunty was super kind and provided us a foldable bed to keep us comfortable. The next morning she even made us smoked duck carbonara and it was so good. The camp owner’s hospitality is truly top tier, it feels like a mother’s love. Definitely a place Id come back to.

A beautiful and peaceful campsite right by the South China Sea. The beach is just steps away, with lovely sunrise and a cool sea breeze. At the back, there's a calm river where can enjoy kayaking, watch the sunset or even dig for clams. Bonus right with both sunrise and sunset spots in 1 place 😄 The campsite is well-maintained, clean and gated with passcode & cctv for security. The toilets are spotless, some with water heater (a plus if taking night shower). It's best to remove your slipper b4 entering, or rinse the slipper 1st. It's pet-friendly, which we really really appreciated~ plenty of open space for our furkids to explore. Just remember to be considerate of other campers - esp. families and Muslim guests - keep them leashed and clean up after them. Our 2 furkids had such a good time here! There's small cafe at the site with good food, coffee and ice-cream. Highly recommend their smoked duck cabonara, aglio olio and nutmeg juice - all were excellent. Most importantly, the team- Nat, Ainon, Foo & Willy - made our stay wonderful. They were warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly (you'll get insider foodie tips around the area🫢) . We even met a cute & young volunteer and had a good laugh sharing our few uniquely Malaysian slang/dialects 😏 We'll definitely be back..very very very soon - with Toto & Money in tow! 😘🐶🐶

Beautiful place and beautiful people, nice vibe and many activities to do. Kayaking in the river next to the mangroves was the highlight, but also it was fun to play Pickleball. Food was also great, burgers especially. I'll come back again for sure!!
