Lovely campsite with a beach front. Breeze amazing, morning view of the sunrise first thing in the morning is simply marvelous. Toilets very clean with hot shower. Bring insect repellant for sand flies. They even rent out tents and set up the tent for you. And also rent out camp beds, chairs, table and the whole set. The owner , Yong, is very friendly.

Payung Getaway Campsite & Campervan Park offers the best of both worlds: a campsite with a white sandy beach and a pristine river. Located at the far end of Cherating Beach, you practically have your own private beach and river. Enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets all in one place. Our campsite provides basic facilities including toilets, indoor and outdoor showers, and canoe/kayak rentals. Plus, fishing and clam picking are just a few steps away from your tent.

This part of the east coast is beautiful and the campsite is perfect for anyone who loves a seaside holiday. The owners are great people who are very responsive when it comes to any enquiries. The campsite is fabulous with clear pitches for campers and RVs. There are hookups at certain points if needed. It is a gated site and private which means you feel totally safe. The area is not crowded, with ample spacing between campers. The female and male toilets and showers are clean and well maintained.. and you can even have a hot shower! There is a communal area with charging points and you can hire out kayaks and paddle up the river. We loved our four nights here and the owners really made us feel welcome and were extremely helpful, thoughtful and generous. The campsite is in walking distance to the little village with plenty of places to eat; there are also activities such as surfing with many places to hire boards only a 15 minute walk from the campsite. We’d say this is a must stay when on the east coast .. we would highly recommend you come and stay if you’re in the area.

Is an absolute gem for nature lovers and pet owners! The site is beautifully maintained, pet-friendly, and offers an incredible escape from the city. We had the entire place to ourselves on the day we visited, which made it feel like our own private paradise. The host, Mr. Foo, was super friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had a comfortable stay. One of the standout features was the availability of a plug point (for a small fee), which was a total lifesaver for charging our devices. We set up our tent right in front of the beach. Plus, the constant sea breeze was simply amazing—it made our time there so refreshing and relaxing. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, Payung Getaway Campsite is a must-visit. Highly recommended, especially if you’re bringing along your furry friends!

Fantastic place to camp. It was easy to set up (we had a camper truck). The place has a power plug for a small fee, water and toilets on site. It is also pet friendly so feel free to bring your little furries with you. We parked at the beach front (it was monsoon) and had fantastic breezy weather. Do bring your big spray as the beach as always have sand flies. Host, Mr Foo is super friendly and made our stay a home away from home!

I had a marvellous and. Wonderful camp stay in Payung🏖️🏖️. The atmosphere and ambience were simply refreshing, fun-filled and chilled. The campsite is fronting the sea view with a chance to immerse and enjoy the feeling of serenity and tranquility. The operator is friendly and always do their best to provide great hospitality moment. Will definitely make my second trip in the future ❤️👍🌟
