Monkey Beach Campsite

Jalan Hassan Abas, Teluk Duyung, 11050 Teluk Bahang, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

Had a great overall experience at Monkey Beach! It’s just a short 20 minute boat ride from my hotel, Shangri-La Golden Sands. The beach is clean, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing you can grab a fresh coconut and just chill by the sea. For a more scenic spot, walk to the far left of the island after you arrive you’ll find a charming little wooden bridge and a cute swing. Most boats don’t take you there directly, as they usually stop in the middle part of the island where the ATV rides and the majority of the monkeys are. The ATV experience was definitely a highlight! The trail can be a bit tricky for beginners, but if you’re comfortable riding a bike, you’ll manage just fine. I’d recommend riding solo it’s more fun and safer than having someone ride pillion, especially kids (I had my younger brother with me, and it was a bit challenging). The water is clean and the beach isn’t too crowded overall, a relaxing and fun escape from the city buzz!
