We had a good time. Mr Yap was our guide and he was attentive to my senior parents’ needs while encouraging the kids to have good time. The activities we enjoyed include kayaking and obstacle course in one of the lakes, flying fox and float slide, visiting the ducks and chicken, fishing, learning about the farm.

I just spent 4D3N at Koref and with my family of two young children and 2 friends at the stone cottage. We really love their hospitality, kindness and delicious food with lots of nature activities! We arrived at 630am and they were so kind to give us an early check in. Stone cottage was homely and comfortable though do note to bring your own toiletries and towel as that is not provided. Also bring along lots of repellent, sunblock and raincoat!

Stayed for 3 nights with my kids. Fun with many activities in this large farm, very well fed by their in-house chef. Activities we did include - pick duck eggs - watch the ducks rushing out from their enclosure to the pond in the mornings - fed fish pellets to the tilapia in the duck pond - fish for tilapia (they lent us their fishing equipment) - harvest vegetables from their farm plot - pick jambu fruit and coconut from the trees (went to the shorter coconut trees to don’t need to climb) - plant young rice paddy plants and harvest the mature ones - kayaking in the shallower pond (they have adult and kid life jackets) - balancing obstacles over that same kayaking pond - water slide (sit on a big ring float, ends just before a pond edge) - flying fox across a pond - played in the treehouse nets - tried to build our own mini campfire (if want a proper campfire, can pay their staff to set up) - climbed up their 6 storey high observation tower to view sunrise/sunset and the surroundings - watched the swallows fly back at sunset - toured their agarwood plantation - tried drinking the water from within the wild rattan stems in the morning (jungle survival skill! Their staff did the chopping.) - played with their friendly dogs The host also arranged the transport for us to the nearby Tanjung Buloh sandy beach (we didn’t drive). RM 50 for return trip. We were allocated the stonehouse unit near the dining hall. The unit we were at had 2 queen size, 1 single bed, sofa, 2 ceiling fans [no aircon], 1 attached toilet with squatting toilet [the dining area has sitting toilets] and shower head with heater). Meals - the package include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Served at the dining hall to our family’s table. A typical lunch/dinner was 6 dishes + soup + fruit + white rice. Veg, fruit, eggs from their farm, chicken and prawn. Tasty, Chinese-style dishes. Their chef used to run a hawker stall. Their host Mr Yap was very kind, friendly, sincere and attentive. More fluent in Mandarin than English. Just to note that they don’t sell packaged snacks/chips and cold drinks so might want to bring your own. Otherwise they’ve been very kind in helping with our requests e.g. to have a small kettle and cups in our room. Contact them via WhatsApp to book.

We would like to give a testimony to Mr Tam and team Koref Desaru Leisure Farm. We did our Equeen Leadership Retreat here from 27 to 29th January. The service was excellent and 5 stars! Mr Tam, Mr Yap and workers gave us amazing hospitality. They even went beyond to ensure we were comfortable due to the heavy rain. The food is one of the best we have tried. Many of the dishes was taken from their own farm like fish, duck eggs, kaya, soursop and banana cake. The staff even ensured we have halal organic chicken in one of the dishes. Kudos to the chef. Soon they will also have organic vegetables as part of their dishes as well. The Stone chalets are very nice and comfortable. Our participants really enjoyed themselves and had a really fulfilling time. They were rejuvenated and had many ahas and breakthrough during the Retreat. We highly recommend that you come with your family for holiday and just to take a well deserved break. The air is clean and you will feel healthier and healed. There are many activities like kayaking, flying fox , water slides, trekking and many more.
